May Digest - This too shall pass!
This month, as we battle as a nation against Covid, we want to share some positives.
As a country, at least in my lifetime, I don’t think we faced a bigger crisis.
Scroll through Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or any news outlets and you’ll see cries of help for dear loved ones, attempts by amazing volunteers to solve a national crisis and questions raised to our government “How did we get here?"
Sigh.
Honestly, even writing this newsletter seems pointless. But almost 1000 readers read this every month and we wanted to use this medium to spread a little positive news.🙏🏽
Why?
Simply because of what Amit mentioned in his tweet below.
And because, even when the times are tough, we cannot let that stop us from finding the positives in life.
Indians as one.
Twitter has been an amazing place these last few days. I mean, as much as these times can allow it to be.
It paints an accurate picture of what is going on in the country right now.
It is heartening to see everyone, empathizing and trying to help strangers from different ethnicities, race and gender.
Those lines, at least for the time being have disappeared.
Twitter, being the point-in-case here, but truly you can find this happening in all walks of life. Virtual and Real World alike.
Thanks to all the volunteers who have not wasted a second to answer the call for help.
A few pet pictures for you
Studies have shown that looking at pictures of pets help lighten the mood. We agree.
That is why we collated a few pictures of pets for you. (You might want to enable pictures in your mail to see this or click on this link to view the web version)
Take a break. You deserve one.
The pictures were collected from this Twitter thread by Palak Zatakia. Take 5 mins, go through this thread.

IIT-Bombay pilots innovative technology to generate oxygen
In the wake of medical oxygen shortage to treat COVID-19 patients, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Bombay is piloting a new technology to convert a nitrogen unit into an oxygen-generating unit.
These plants can provide a continuous supply of oxygen for COVID-19-related needs across existing hospitals and upcoming COVID-19 specific facilities.
France donates 8 oxygen plants to India
Each plant can continuously supply a 250-bed hospital non-stop for a dozen years, providing enhanced resilience to peaks in oxygen demand and savings of up to ₹15 crores a year while eliminating safety issues related to liquid oxygen storage.
We stand by India in these difficult times, just as India has always stood by France. In spring 2020, when French hospitals were facing acute shortages, India provided lifesaving help through the export of critical medical drugs. The French people have not forgotten.

Like last year, we are back to working from home. But if we’ve learned something in these times it is this,
“A good Routine goes a long way in helping us keep a positive attitude.”
This particular video helped me a lot personally. Hopefully, this helps you too ❤️

Community Conversations
Ajay Sanghani had asked this question in one of our WhatsApp groups.
What are the good cheaper alternatives to mailchimp for sending emails to 10,000 contacts ( may 2 or 3 in a month ) so total 30,000 emails.
Well, the usual mentions were spotted, MailChimp, SendGrid and Zoho Campaigns. One response raised a few follow-up questions.
Tried sendy? Just one time setup cost on your server
- Vedant
The follow-up was -
But Sendy has limitations. It does not give you analytics. And unlike MailChimp only a developer can code marketing campaigns.
- Rakhi Laddar
And the response
Limitations yes. But for our purpose the analytics are good enough. Developer might be required to create a HTML template but our marketing team is able to use other tools to generate HTML files and sending the campaigns
We let you be the judge. But if, as a business owner, you have 10,000 people to mail to it is usually a good kind of problem to have.
